This injector has only done 1500 miles, it is already fouled up with carbon deposits from the combustion prosses and varnish from cheap fuel. The engine this was taken out of wasnt performong as it should. The engine would hesitate under acceleration and hot starting was particulary poor. This injector is not an exeption from the rule but one of the cleanest we have seen at this milage that is why we are using this an example of typical injector fouling.

This is the same injector after it has been cleaned. Appart from the obviouse cleaner state of the injector on the out side the performance of the injector is in fact better than the original specified flow rate. The cleaning process we use is classed as clinically clean this is the only process alowed to be used in hospitals for cleaning surgical equipment. This is called ultrasonic cleaning which basically means blasting the injector with ultrasonic sound waves both on the out side of the pintle and throughout the injector. At the same time the injector is pulsed at the equivelent of 10,000 rpm engine speed.
